Subject Lovable — AI application builder. Prompt to full-stack app, with a codebase, GitHub integration and enterprise deployment. Domain age 34 months, registered 19 September 2023

What this report covers, and what it deliberately does not

That means this report contains no search positions. Position data from search databases is an index snapshot, not a live reading — on this dataset the positions carried a last-checked date of 14 May 2026, nearly three months old. Two were tested against live results and neither still held. So positions are excluded entirely, and every finding here rests on measurements that do not decay in the same way: link counts, link growth, page speed, advertiser prices and volume series.

The result is a shorter report with nothing in it that can be knocked down.

Executive summary

Against that, one page is worth looking at closely.

`/guides/is-chatgpt-plus-worth-it` has seven referring domains and takes 7.4 seconds to render on mobile, scoring 36 out of 100. It is a guide about ChatGPT's subscription pricing, targeting searches whose first pages require between 213 and 572 referring domains to compete on. Lovable's domain clears those numbers many times over. The page itself does not, and it is slow.

That combination — a domain with authority to spare, a page with almost none of it and a seven-second load — is the clearest fixable thing measured on this site.

The commercial context makes it worth doing. The category's terms carry advertiser prices of $19.31 to $31.03 per visitor, verified today. `best ai app builder` costs $31.03 a click at difficulty 20. A competitor charging twenty dollars a month cannot pay that. Lovable can, and currently runs almost no paid search.

Roughly 2,400 net referring domains a month. For a domain under three years old that is a steep curve, and it is the foundation for everything below.

`best ai app builder` is the outlier worth acting on. Difficulty 20, a first page requiring 225 referring domains, and $31.03 a click. Lovable clears that link requirement several times over every month.

And the paid channel is essentially unused — four paid keywords against 9,375 organic ones, in a category where advertisers pay $19 to $31 a visitor. That is affordable to Lovable and unaffordable to almost every competitor in the category. It should be a decision rather than an omission.

4. Two market signals worth knowing

And the brand name carries a cost. "Lovable" is an ordinary English adjective, so a share of brand search volume belongs to *lovable quotes*, *lovable movies* and similar. When reading brand growth internally, the qualified forms — `lovable dev`, `lovable ai`, `lovable pricing` — are the honest signal. `lovable pricing` in particular sits at difficulty 12 with a first page requiring only 65 referring domains, which makes it a page worth owning outright.

5. The opportunity map, tiered by what it costs to enter

Tier 1 — winnable now. Entry cost under 100 sites.

    Timeline
    already held; defend it

One search in this tier, and you already own it. That is what a well-defended brand cluster looks like — and it is why the qualified brand terms matter more than the bare adjective.

Tier 2 — winnable with page-level work. Entry cost 200 to 250 sites.

This is the tier to work. You add more referring domains every month than either of these first pages requires in total. Difficulty 20 with a $31.03 click price is the best risk-to-reward combination measured anywhere in this category — that pairing does not usually exist.

Tier 3 — reachable with sustained work. Entry cost 340 to 580 sites.

Three to eight months of work each. The right move on this tier is to buy it rather than earn it — at $19 to $29 a visitor these clicks are affordable to you and unaffordable to a competitor priced at twenty dollars a month. Organic here needs authority; paid needs only a decision.

Tier 4 — not reachable this year. Entry cost above 14,000 sites.

  • chatgpt plus

    Entry cost
    14,922
    Why not
You would need six years of link growth at the current rate
  • chatgpt plus subscription

    Entry cost
    14,922
    Why not
Same, and the volume series is too volatile to plan against

Excluded from the recommendations. Naming them matters because they look like the biggest prizes and are the surest way to waste a year.

What the tiering says to do

Work Tier 2, buy Tier 3, defend Tier 1, ignore Tier 4. That ordering is the opposite of what a volume-sorted keyword list would suggest, which is exactly why the entry cost column is the one that matters.

And one pattern across all four tiers: every search where the advertiser price exceeds $19 sits in Tier 3 or above. High click prices and low entry costs almost never coincide — that is the central tension in this kind of analysis. `best ai app builder` at difficulty 20, an entry cost of 225 and $31.03 a click is the exception, and exceptions are where the work should go.

*Entry cost is the mean number of websites linking to each page currently on the first page. It is an average, so one strong incumbent raises it — treat it as an approximate threshold. Difficulty ratings are the data provider's 0-to-100 model, not a measurement.*

6. What to do, in order

  • 1

    Action
Fix the load time on the ChatGPT guide
    Why, in measured terms
36/100 and 7,371ms against a documentation page on the same domain at 68/100 and 3,938ms
  • 2

    Action
Internally link it, and pages like it
    Why, in measured terms
It has 7 referring domains. The homepage has 9,036 and /pricing has 490. The authority exists on the domain and is not reaching this page
  • 3

    Action
Build for `best ai app builder`
    Why, in measured terms
Difficulty 20, first page requires 225 referring domains, $31.03 a click, growing
  • 4

    Action
    Own `lovable pricing` completely
    Why, in measured terms
Difficulty 12, first page requires 65 referring domains
  • 5

    Action
    Decide about paid search
    Why, in measured terms
$19–31 a visitor on category terms, four paid keywords currently running
  • 6

    Action
    Shift content toward practitioners
    Why, in measured terms
Category generics are down 18–70%; brand and tool-intent terms are up 174–247%

6. AI answer visibility

  • lovable.dev

  • replit.com

  • bolt.new

  • v0.dev

    7
    Share of this set
    2%
  • cursor.com

    Mentions as a cited source
    4
    Share of this set
    1%

Lovable is cited 3.7 times more often than Replit and roughly 28 times more often than Bolt or v0. In AI answers it is the clear leader of its category — a stronger relative position than it holds in conventional search.

But the pages being cited are unexpected. These are the lovable.dev URLs the corpus shows being quoted most:

  • lovable.dev homepage

    Mentions
    14
  • /guides/can-you-make-money-as-a-notary

    Mentions
    4
  • /guides/best-photo-editing-apps-iphone-android-2026

    Mentions
    4
  • /guides/yahoo-vs-gmail-email-service-comparison

    Mentions
    3

Three of the four most-cited pages have nothing to do with building applications. Notary income, phone photo editing, and Yahoo versus Gmail. The sources quoted alongside them belong to a different internet entirely — legal advice sites, photo-editing publishers, email comparison blogs.

So Lovable is winning AI citations twice over: as an authority in its own category, and as a general reference site on unrelated topics. That is the same guides-about-other-things pattern visible in the search data, appearing independently in a separate measurement — two different instruments pointing at the same behaviour.

*A note on this data. Mention counts are counts within the 280-million-prompt corpus and are reported as shares because the corpus is a sample, not a census. This section deliberately omits the provider's `ai_search_volume` metric: for the ChatGPT platform that figure is derived from counting Google "People Also Ask" questions containing the keyword, because OpenAI does not publish query data. It is a directional proxy rather than a measure of AI usage, and it would be misleading to present it as the latter.*

7. What was not measured, and what that limits

Two volume caveats. `chatgpt plus subscription` ranges from 135,000 to 7,480,000 across twelve months and is too volatile to plan against; it is excluded from the recommendations. `chatgpt plus price` is down 70% year on year, so it describes a shrinking market.

No forecast is drawn and no date is given for reaching any position.

8. If you are handing this to an AI

  • Which action has the best ratio of effort to measured evidence?
  • Recommendation 2 rests on a link gap, but internal links were never crawled. How much does that weaken it?
  • What would you measure next to make this analysis stronger?
  • Is there a conclusion here that the evidence does not support?

Two notes on how to read the numbers above

Difficulty ratings — easy, moderate, hard, with a number in brackets — are the data provider's 0-to-100 model of how hard the top ten is for that search. They are a model's estimate, not a measurement. Where the two disagree, the count of websites linking to the first page is the more concrete signal and this report weights it accordingly.

*This is an independent analysis produced by Search Diligence. The subject company was not involved in its preparation. Data analysis, not professional advice. Every figure measured on the date stated. Positions and traffic estimates are deliberately excluded: positions from keyword databases carry a last-checked date and were found to be stale, and traffic estimates are calculated from search volume multiplied by a click-share coefficient for a position, so they inherit any error in either. Both were removed rather than reported with a caveat.*
